Cruz pulled out a bag of Pirate's Booty while speaking on the Senate floor and said:
"There should be congressional hearings to explore all the potential benefits of cryptocurrencies, and I'm very serious about this. I'm introducing the Pirate's Booty Resolution to make sure members of Congress understand the power and potential of cryptocurrencies."
The Pirate's Booty Resolution calls for the US Congress to investigate the potential for using digital currencies and explore the regulation of them.
