Bitcoin Price Now Features in China's Douyin TikTok Version

Bitcoin Price Now Features on Chinese App, Douyin

We have great news for cryptocurrency enthusiasts. The popular Chinese app, Douyin (the Chinese version of TikTok), now features the Bitcoin price! This integration is a significant step in the general acceptance of cryptocurrencies in China.

The app was launched in September 2016 and is owned by Bytedance, a Beijing-based Internet technology company founded in 2012. Since its launch, Douyin has become an extremely popular short-video sharing platform not only in China but also across the rest of Asia. It has gathered a user base of over 400 million as of January 2020.

Douyin's integration of Bitcoin price was reportedly first noticed by Twitter user @cryptomocho. He tweeted out about it saying that “China’s version of TikTok now shows us the #Bitcoin price!”

Baidu, China’s largest search engine, recently announced its own cryptocurrency wallet. It supports two major cryptocurrency exchanges Binance and Huobi being used to buy and sell various digital assets.

As more companies add cryptocurrencies to their list of services, we can expect the trend to grow even further with more mainstream entities joining Satoshi’s revolution.
